Topic : Application and relevance of tools and concepts from nanophysics applied to biological sciences and biomedical technologies.
Scope: The application of tools and concepts from nanophysics in order to investigate biomolecular or cellular systems or to develop new methods for diagnosis or medical imaging is one of the great promises of nanotechnologies. This field of research is very dynamic and intrinsically multidisciplinary. It requires a tight collaboration between partners from different scientific horizons, which is favoured by their sharing common, multidisciplinary scientific and technological skills. This school aims at gathering people from different backgrounds, such as nanophysicists, biophysicists, biologists, but also pharmacologists and physicians (diagnosis, therapies). The goal is to contribute to the building of a common knowledge, which is a strong driving force towards multidisciplinary innovative science. The school targets an international public.
10 to 12 lectures of 2hours along three topics:
1. Nanophysics for molecular biology
2. Nanophysics for cellular biology
3. Nanophysics for diagnosis and therapy
